We work hard to provide quality service to our customers, but unfortunately our approach is often ignored by booking platforms
, ”regrets the Union in a press release.
In fact, said platforms would impose lower and lower prices on them “
which do not allow us to be profitable or to live decently
”, in particular on certain routes, to Monaco or Saint-Tropez for example.

The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture and the Chamber of Trades and Crafts (CMA) would also issue VTC licenses in disproportionate quantities, exacerbating competition between drivers.

A numerus clausus is essential so as not to dangle young entrepreneurs with a flourishing future, when this is not the case
”, continues the association.
The latter still denounces “
pressure
” from the platforms towards drivers, for the purposes of profitability but also by issuing them “
abusive sanctions without right of appeal
”.
Finally, the Union des VTC 06-83 regrets that no impact of the rise in fuel prices and the cost of living is taken into account in the price of the races.

For all these reasons, the association calls on the authorities to act and take their demands into account, otherwise it warns that
"punch"
actions will be put in place.
For Saturday, a strike notice was filed at the prefecture last week, without return so far.
“Without an agreement, we will not mobilize, our goal being first and foremost to respect the laws”
, assures the president of the Union, who prefers to remain anonymous.
The latter also indicates that she will be received on Wednesday by the Departmental Security.
