Latakia - SANA
Today, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine carried out a stand in solidarity with the Syrian people in the southern Raml camp in Lattakia, during which it called for lifting the unjust siege imposed on Syria and breaking the American Caesar Act.
The Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Zaher, said in a statement to SANA: The delegation's visit to the Palestinian al-Raml camp today is to express our support and solidarity with our Palestinian and Syrian people who were affected by the devastating earthquake, calling for lifting the siege and ending the sanctions imposed on Syria and its people.
In turn, Ammar Murad, a member of the political bureau of the Front abroad, stressed that standing by the Syrian people in this humanitarian catastrophe is a natural matter, noting the great support provided by Syria to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
Nizar al-Qadi, the front official in Lattakia and Aleppo, pointed out that the stand is an opportunity to activate the pressure to lift the unjust sanctions, and to drop the American Caesar Act, which affected the Syrian people and the Palestinians present there, who have been suffering for more than ten years because of the unjust war against them.
Wasfi Shawish, a resident of the camp, said: The earthquake that affected Lattakia governorate caused great damage to buildings and property, and it is natural for brothers to stand by each other in adversity.
Nagham Samer Fatairji explained that she is here today to convey the voice of the need to abolish the sanctions, and drop the unfair American Caesar Act to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the devastating earthquake.
