Today, a Pakistani plane carrying relief aid for those affected by the earthquake arrived at Damascus International Airport.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the head of the relief medical team that arrived on the Pakistani plane, Dr. Fayez Ajkzi, explained that the team includes 10 people, including doctors specializing in neurological and orthopedic surgery and others specializing in relief work, stressing that it was commissioned by the Pakistani government to provide its duty with assistance to the Syrians in the areas affected by the earthquake. And support medical teams in treatment and relief work.

The Pakistani ambassador to Syria, Shahid Akhtar, indicated that this is the second plane sent by Pakistan, carrying a medical team and aid containing 17 tons and 881 kilograms of food and medical supplies.

He stressed that his country will continue to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrians, as two planes carrying medical and relief teams will be sent during the next three days, and trucks loaded with large quantities of relief materials will arrive by land through the Syrian-Iraqi border, and they are now on their way to Syria.

For his part, the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, said: The response provided by the government and people of Pakistan is very distinctive. Since the first day, the Pakistani Minister of Education has been assigned to follow up the relief measures and organize a donation campaign that included schools. Aid convoys began arriving in Syria and included food, tents, blankets, clothes, and energy equipment. Solar and some transformers.

Tabaa expressed Syria's appreciation and thanks to Pakistan, calling on all countries of the world to help the Syrian people, who have been suffering from the terrorist war imposed on them for 12 years, and today are facing the repercussions of the earthquake.
