The mayor of Concordia and candidate for governor of Entre Ríos, Enrique Cresto, defended himself after the dissemination of a video in which he is seen touching the tail of a woman during the Chamamé Festival in Entre Ríos.
In a statement that he published on social networks, the leader of the Frente de Todos assured that the video was edited to do him "harm".
"This situation was taken, from behind, by one of the media that broadcast the Carnival and there was a person who, with obvious intentionality, saw the opportunity to edit and broadcast a cut of this sequence, pointing out that there was undue friction on my part" .

In recent days, a video has gone viral that - cropped and from a certain perspective - intends to show me in an improper attitude during the last parade of the Concordia Carnival.
The record was made when I was interviewed for a channel in Paraná and a viewer approached me to ask for a photograph (as so many people do in any of the events and activities in which we participate).
I agreed to her request, the young woman stood next to me, we took the photograph and then she returned to her place. Nothing else happened, as the people who - because they were in this sector of the corsódromo - could have witnessed this scene can attest.
This situation was taken from behind by one of the media that broadcast Carnival and there was a person who, with obvious intentionality, saw the opportunity to edit and broadcast a cut of this sequence, pointing out that there was undue friction on my part.
In this regard, I affirm and reiterate that this was not the case and that nothing that is intended to imply with this video corresponds to reality.
To this day, several people and the media insistently spread this video. Some do it for morbidity or fun, others with the clear intention of hurting us and some more for mere fun.
Consequently, I consider it necessary to make this statement public in defense of the good name, honor and integrity of my family.
Those of us who dedicate ourselves to politics with passion and conviction know that we are exposed to this type of operation, as well as the permanent spread of rumors and false news.
In any case, it hurts me that my children and my wife have to go through this bad time, even in the conviction that, as always when they attack us, we will emerge even stronger.
I also believe that the people who spread this video should rethink their actions, without taking into account that they publicly expose the young woman who appears in it.
With her, I express my solidarity and express all my accompaniment, as well as her family. I regret that they have to go through this situation and I am deeply concerned that, in their eagerness to set up a scandal and exploit this "fake news", there are media and people who harm a Concordian family in this way, without measuring damage or consequences.
On the other hand, I know very well that as we advance in this electoral process there will be operations, attacks and accusations of all kinds. In every campaign, the first thing our adversaries start up are the lying, slandering and slandering machines.
In any case, I am ready to face them as I always did: with my head held high and my gaze fixed on the goals we set for ourselves.
Many thanks to the friends and affection who have called and sent messages in recent days. I ask you to be calm and not to worry. None of this does not tarnish all the positive things that we have built in these years, nor does it condition everything that we are going to do from now on.
