It was around 11 in the morning that a woman intervened in a discussion between a passenger and an EMOVA employee, the company in charge of the Subte.
She ended up killed with two shots.
The woman, identified as Maribel Nélida Zalazar (35) is from Glew and has worked in the Argentine Federal Police since 2014. She then went to the City Police and served in the subway division of lines C, D, E and H .
Maribel is in a relationship and has two children, one 13 years old and the other five years old.
Official sources confirmed that there was a "struggle during which a passenger took out his regulation firearm and started shooting."
Two of the shots wounded the police:
one bullet was in the chest and the other in the neck.
A third shot grazed the waist of a subway operator.
The woman arrived in serious condition at the Churruca Hospital, where she was transferred by helicopter.
They tried to revive her but could not save her.
At the time of the incident, she was wearing her bulletproof vest.
