Among the students killed Monday in the shooting on the Michigan State University campus were an "extraordinary" leader and athlete, a "good friend" who was "loved by all" and an "excellent student" who wanted to become a doctor. , told those who knew them.

Brian, who graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 2021, was president of the Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Michigan State University, the group reported.
"As the leader of the Chapter (one of the groups within the fraternity), Brian was a great friend to his Phi Delta brothers, the Greek community at State University, and those with whom he interacted on campus," the fraternity said in a statement.

Jon Dean, superintendent of the Grosse Pointe Public School System, said in a statement that he was heartbroken to learn of the shooting, and that two recent graduates of the school system were among the fatalities.
