Among the students killed Monday in the shooting on the Michigan State University campus were an "extraordinary" leader and athlete, a "good friend" who was "loved by all" and an "excellent student" who wanted to become a doctor. , told those who knew them.

"As the leader of the Chapter (one of the groups within the fraternity), Brian was a great friend to his Phi Delta brothers, the Greek community at State University, and those with whom he interacted on campus," the fraternity said in a statement.
