Faces of exile: Juan Sebastián Chamorro confesses the psychological torture of which he was a victim in El Chipote prison

From his destiny in exile, the former presidential candidate Juan Sebastián Chamorro reveals the methods of psychological torture that the Daniel Ortega regime used in the 611 days that he remained locked up in the prison known as El Chipote.

Chamorro was arrested in June 2021 and in March 2022 he was sentenced to 13 years in prison, accused of carrying out acts that undermine independence and sovereignty, of inciting foreign interference in internal affairs, and of calling for military intervention.
