American journalist Seymour Hersh continued the chapters on revealing that the United States was behind the bombing of the Russian gas pipelines “Northern Stream 1 and North Stream 2” in the Baltic Sea last September, indicating that Washington planted 8 bombs under the two lines, and only 6 of them exploded.

Hirsch told the German newspaper Berliner Zeiting yesterday, in follow-up to an investigation published earlier this month: that although US President Joe Biden's team did not have a clear plan between January and February of 2022 regarding blowing up the two lines of the Russian North Stream, only They were well aware that they had the ability to do so using an incredibly powerful explosive called C4, which could be triggered remotely using underwater sonar detectors.

Hersh explained that in early January of last year the White House was informed of the option to blow up the North Stream, and after two or three weeks, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland announced that the United States “can do that,” and this was on January 20, 2022, according to what was reported. It seems that US President Joe Biden threatened on February 7 of last year, saying that: “There will be no North Stream in the event of an attack on Ukraine.”

According to Hirsch, American divers installed explosives under the North Stream pipelines during the NATO “Baltops” maneuvers in the Baltic Sea in the summer of 2022, before the Norwegians activated them three months later, indicating that only six of the eight planted bombs exploded, due to Biden postponed the final decision, which affected the effectiveness of the bombs due to their being under water for a long time.

Hersh indicated that the White House felt tense at the last moment, as Biden expressed his fear of this action, and issued new orders that make it possible to detonate mines remotely at any moment, so that he could go back and move forward with the process and order the detonation of the North Stream last September.

Hersh pointed out that many of those familiar with this process and occupy high positions in the US security services opposed Biden and considered the matter “crazy,” considering that Biden eventually carried out the bombing, because he did not want Germany to abandon the sanctions imposed on the Nord Stream 2 project. In the event of a cold winter.
