MK Danny Danon (Likud) this week flew about a hundred Likud members to a prestigious and exclusive political conference in a five-star hotel in Dubai. Danon, who also serves as the chairman of the Likud World, the body that represents the Likud in the national institutions, organized and produced a delegation of the Board of Trustees of the World Likud under the title "To mark three years of Abraham's agreements".
He flew about 100 Likud people, including city mayors, branch heads and senior activists in the party, for a three-day vacation at the "Hilton El Habtor City" hotel.
According to Likud sources, the members of the "Board of Trustees" were asked to pay 750 to 800 dollars for their participation in the delegation.
The balance - in the amount of about $300 per person - was subsidized by the World Likud - a body that is budgeted by the national institutions - and financed from state funds.
Estimating that the size of the delegation is close to one hundred people, it is possible to estimate the subsidy of the global Likud at at least one hundred thousand shekels.
Danon himself stayed at the conference only one night.
