Hamburg has now adapted to the protests by the climate stickers.

During an action on Friday, motorists took action themselves.

Hamburg – They never tire of placing their messages in the middle of Hamburg's city traffic – once again activists from the “last generation” drove drivers up the wall by suddenly sitting down in the middle of the wet asphalt.

For a short time, traffic on one of Hamburg's most important traffic arteries directly on the Alster came to a standstill.

Some motorists didn't hesitate and tore the air-conditioning stickers off the road, as reported by

Climate stickers of the "last generation" ensure police action in Hamburg - drivers help themselves

Shortly after 11:00 a.m., a loud honk suddenly sounded at the entrance to the Kennedy Bridge – nothing unusual in Hamburg, as the resourceful road user knows.

But the sudden traffic jam and excited people on the road gave many an idea: attention should once again be drawn to the climate crisis.

Two people immediately began to cling to the cold and, above all, wet asphalt.

Eight other people took to the streets with placards.

Her request to introduce a nationwide speed limit received less attention - because some drivers took action and simply tore some of the climate stickers off the road.

Photographers recorded the events in pictures and videos.

The stuck people were released from the asphalt shortly afterwards by the approaching Hamburg police.

After a good hour the road was free again.

It was only in January that activists failed with an adhesive campaign in Hamburg – because the street was too wet.

Disruptive actions in Germany: climate stickers block streets in Cologne and Flensburg - trial in Frankfurt

In Cologne, too, “last generation” climate adhesives had blocked an important street in the city center.

The blockade lasted around two hours, reports

According to the police, the people are being investigated for coercion in road traffic and suspected violation of the right to assembly.

It was only on Thursday afternoon that three climate activists blocked a street in Flensburg further north in Flensburg for hours.

The police said the people, aged 28, 40 and 53, stuck their hands on Schiffbrücke street.

Two other activists, aged 34 and 38, were prevented by the officers from also taping themselves.

Since Friday, five climate activists have had to find out in front of the district court in Frankfurt that the disruptive actions are not without consequences.

After a spectacular abseiling action on Autobahn 5, they have been on trial since Friday.

This is reported by fnp.de.

The indictment charges the three women and two men with coercion in a particularly serious case.

In October 2020, the accused, who were between 24 and 31 years old, are said to have caused the full closure of the motorway near Frankfurt Airport, which is particularly busy in the morning rush hour, with their action.

On the first day of the hearing, the defendants did not comment on the specific allegations, but only on general environmental issues.

After the action, they were briefly in custody.
