The Sau Mau Ping Police District Special Duty Team and the Criminal Department launched an anti-illegal labor and anti-pornography campaign code-named "CHAMPION" and "NIGHTFLAG" yesterday (February 15) afternoon based on reports and in-depth investigations. During the operation, officers smashed up two suspected unlicensed massage parlors and arrested four local women, aged between 43 and 60, on suspicion of "managing unlicensed massage parlors" and "assisting in the management of unlicensed massage parlors".
At the same time, officers also removed more than 400 notices and cards used to promote pornographic services in public places in the building.
In addition, officers conducted inspections in Hong Ning Road, Tung Ming Street and Ngau Tau Kok. Among them, a 57-year-old local woman surnamed Wang was arrested on Tung Ming Street on suspicion of "instigating others to commit immoral acts", and a batch of Evidence, including condoms, wet wipes and lubricating oil, etc.;
According to reports and in-depth investigations, the Special Duty Team of the Kwun Tong Police District and the Miscellaneous Investigation Team of the Kwun Tong Police District launched a joint anti-vice operation at about 3 pm yesterday (February 15) in the Kwun Tong Business District. He also raided a unit on Hing Yip Street and smashed a suspected prostitution establishment.
Officers arrested 3 foreign women, aged between 29 and 45, suspected of "assisting in the management of prostitution establishments" and "violating the conditions of stay". Two of them were suspected of not wearing masks.
Officers also arrested a 39-year-old person in charge surnamed Yuan Nan in Tseung Kwan O District on the same night, suspected of "managing prostitution establishments", "employing people who cannot be legally employed" and violating the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Cap. 599F).
All those arrested are being detained for investigation.
Police officers seized a batch of evidence in the unit, including accounting books, price leaflets, massage beds, condoms, massage oil, timers, paper underwear, towels and other items.

According to Section 38AA of the Immigration Ordinance, Chapter 115 of the Laws of Hong Kong, illegal immigrants, persons subject to deportation orders or deportation orders, overstayers or persons who have been refused entry shall not accept paid or unpaid employment. Or participate in any business, upon conviction, the maximum penalty is a fine of $50,000 and imprisonment for 3 years.

And according to Section 139 of the Crimes Ordinance (Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong), any person who operates any premises, vessel or place as a prostitution establishment, or manages/assists in the management, or otherwise manages/controls the operation of a prostitution establishment premises, vessel or place, is an offense and is liable to imprisonment for a maximum of 3 years on summary conviction and to imprisonment for a maximum of 10 years on conviction on indictment.
In addition, any person who, being the owner or tenant of the premises, or his agent, lets the premises, in whole or in part, knowing that the whole or part thereof is to be operated as a prostitution establishment; Continuing to use it for this purpose is also against the law and is liable to imprisonment for 7 years upon conviction.
