Paris: an armed individual injured four at Porte de la Chapelle with a pellet rifle

Witnesses reportedly saw the alleged shooter fire from the window of a building. A suspect was arrested and taken into custody.


Four people were slightly injured by pellets on Tuesday, February 14, at Porte de la Chapelle in the 18th arrondissement, Le Figaro

Around 4 p.m., near 91 rue de la Chapelle, passers-by called the police to report a series of injuries on the public highway.

A 27-year-old man was hit in the buttocks, a homeless man in the left hand, and two other people were injured, respectively in the right hand and in the abdomen.

All were hit by pellets, before being evacuated to the hospital.

The alleged shooter allegedly fired from a window of a nearby apartment building.

An individual was arrested, according to our information.

He was placed in police custody, which was extended on Wednesday.

The facts caused the temporary closure of the Chapelle metro station, on line 12.
