Shield from Bavaria causes confusion on the net: Reason is misunderstood – "Is that an order?"

Carnival is probably not for everyone.

At least that's what you might assume if you saw the most recent post on the "notesofgermany" Instagram page.

Aschaffenburg – The fifth season is in full swing and numerous fools are slipping into the wildest costumes all over Bavaria.

Carnival is just around the corner in the Free State.

Only recently did the Bavarian political prominence give free rein to their creativity when it was called “Fastnacht in Franken” again.

Country father Markus Söder went as the tribal elder of Bavaria and thus not only confused the local journalists.

In addition to costumes, a proper carnival also includes colorful streamers, sugar-sweet candies that are thrown from floats and, of course, confetti.

Not too short of the latter.

But apparently people see things differently in the Lower Franconian city of Aschaffenburg.

From there comes a sign that forbids this.

It has now been shared on Instagram.

And a justification was also included.

No confetti in Aschaffenburg: prohibition sign causes confusion on the internet

It is questionable whether the photographed sign from Aschaffenburg is actually meant seriously, since it comes in the most colorful colors - similar to the reviled confetti.

However, one seems to want to point this out emphatically, otherwise there would hardly be three exclamation marks at the end of the sentence.

But there is more to it than that.

Below is the justification for the ban: "Make stains!!!"

Even the operators of the "notesofgermany" page can't think of anything else, except "the fun ends somewhere".

For the fans of the site, the notice was of course a hit.

They weren't so amused by the ban itself, but more by the ambiguous rationale behind it.

One wrote: "'Make stains' sounds like a request." And another jumped in: "Is that an order?

'Stains, but zack zack!'”

Prohibition sign on Instagram: Instagram user obeys immediately

Another fan of the site seems a little intimidated by the shield's commanding tone.

"Okay, then I'll put my confetti carefully on the floor.

And I'm sure I can learn how best to do stains somewhere on YouTube." And another one even thinks ahead and has the poor cleaning staff in mind: "Stress stains for those who have to clean it up...right!" It stays so it remains to be seen how colorful the foolish time in Aschaffenburg will be at the end.
