This Thursday, a new mobilization is planned in Nantes against the pension reform.

It will not take the form of a demonstration.

The unions are organizing a torchlight procession from the Miroir d'eau.

The meeting is fixed at 6:30 p.m.

The idea is to maintain the protest movement in a symbolic way

, Eric Malo, deputy secretary general of the CFDT regional union.

If the scale of this event will probably be less than the massive mobilizations of the last few days, it will still have an impact on transport.

Lines cut in the city center

Tram and bus lines will be cut in Nantes city center between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The only exception, on tram line 1, the cut will be effective from 5:30 p.m.

Here are the affected lines:

  • Line 1 of the tramway: cut between Commerce and Duchesse Anne

  • Line 2 of the tramway: terminus at 50 hostages

  • Line 3 of the tramway: cut between Commerce and Hôtel Dieu

  • Line C1: cut between Copernic and Foch Cathedral

  • Line C2: terminus at Talensac

  • Line C3: cut between Copernicus and Hôtel Dieu

  • Line C6: cut between Delorme and Foch

  • Cathedral Line 11: cut between Square Daviais and Foch

  • Cathedral Line 12: cut between Talensac and Foch Cathedral

  • Line 23: cut between Copernic and Talensac

  • Line 26: cut between Gaston Veil and Delorme

  • Line 54: terminus at Delorme

  • Airport shuttle: terminus at Gare SNCF Sud

These line cuts are in addition to the one already existing on line 3 of the tramway in the municipality of Rezé.

This follows a

"road incident"

which occurred on Saturday: a car struck and damaged a support pole of the overhead contact line which supplies electricity to the trams.

“Almost normal” traffic for TGVs

On the side of the SNCF, the impact on traffic will be much less than during previous days of mobilization.

As for TGVs and high-speed Ouigos, the company is counting on

“almost normal traffic”

.

For Ouigo classic trains, traffic will be

“normal”

.

Less TER and Intercités

Also improved on the TER side.

No line should be completely cut this Thursday as was the case on January 31.

However, traffic will still be disrupted.

The SNCF provides

"three out of five circulations for the Pays de la Loire region"

.

There will also be better for the Intercités: two out of three trains will run on the Nantes-Bordeaux line and one out of four trains on the Nantes-Lyon line.

Fewer flights at the airport

This Thursday, the air traffic controllers' unions are calling for participation in the fifth day of strike action against pension reform.

To limit disruption, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has required carriers to cancel 20% of their aircraft movements at several airports including Nantes-Atlantique.

Despite this provision, delays are still possible.

In a press release, the DGAC invites passengers who can postpone their trip and inquire with their airline to find out the status of their flight.
