Director Todd Phillips shared the first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn from
Joker: Folie à Deux

Clearly, the director knows his audience, and he took advantage of Valentine's Day to wish the fans of the film a happy day with an image from the shoot, in which the singer appears with Joaquín Phoenix, characterized as the dysfunctional couple who will star in the
sequel
.
Almost everything that is known for now about the project has been announced by Todd Phillips through his Instagram account.
In June of last year,
the filmmaker took care to confirm that a second part of the successful
Joker
was underway
, with a post on Instagram in which the first page of the script could be seen and Joaquin Phoenix reading it.
Now he has used this social network again to offer a first image of the character that Lady Gaga will play in the film.
The Grammy Award-winning artist and star of the hit film
A Star Is Born
also shared the image through her own profiles.
"Happy Valentine's Day," Phillips says on Instagram.
The image marks the public's first look at Gaga in the film.

Only the project has been described as a musical, something Lady Gaga is commissioned to do.
The title
Folie à Deux
, for its part, is a French term used in psychiatry to refer to
a rare shared psychotic disorder
, in which a symptom of psychosis is transmitted from one individual to another.
The syndrome is usually diagnosed when affected individuals live in close proximity, are socially or physically isolated, and have little interaction with other people.
Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn, the psychiatrist turned villain in the second part of "Joker."

Something like this is supposed to happen between the characters of Phoenix and Gaga.
Todd Philips will once again be the director and will collaborate again with Scott Silver, with whom he confirmed the script for the first film.
Filming is taking place in New York and Los Angeles, with
its release scheduled for October 4, 2024
