At the edge of a cliff in Bali, Indonesia, a retired Boeing 737 was placed, which was turned into a particularly intriguing place to stay • How long did it take to plan the conversion, what awaits those who arrive - and when will it open?

When an aircraft is retired, there are many options of things that can be done with it, for example recycling its parts or moving it to an aircraft scrap yard (yes, there is such a thing).

Some thought of more original ideas, and turned the old planes into restaurants, cafes and even museums.

• It's real: Flying taxis will start operating in Dubai very soon - it seems

• After years: the US is expected to change the entry policy for those coming from all over the world

Someone in Bali in Indonesia decided to take the matter a few steps further, and opened a Boeing 737 plane that he made into a private and luxurious villa.

In the new villa, which is located on a cliff near a popular beach in Bali at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level, you will find two bedrooms and a private pool - and the cost?

Starts at about 7,000 dollars for one night.

Felix Damin, who purchased the plane in 2021, said that he thought of using it for private use - but after seeing the potential of converting the plane into something extraordinary, he decided to go with the idea that popped into his head.

According to him, the procedure of transferring the plane from the person from whom he bought it to the cliff where it is currently located took about two whole months of planning - while the transfer itself, which was done using two cranes, a huge platform, a number of experts and a police escort, took five days.

"I want people to experience the 'wow effect' every second of their time in this unusual place," Demin told CNN.

Naturally, the special project, which will open to the general public in April, has received a lot of attention on social media since it was launched.

In one of the cases, Damin said, he arrived at the scene - and discovered 150 people sitting on the plane.

Since then, he managed to install a barrier outside the compound, to prevent people from the outside from trying to damage the plane or risk sitting on the tips of the wings.
