The ICAC announced in August last year that it had launched an enforcement operation code-named "Blizzard" and arrested 30 people, including four AA personnel, in connection with the Hong Kong Airport Authority's "Three-runway System Project" corruption case.
Checking the information, at least two senior executives from the AA and the engineering company have been brought to court.
Half a year later, the case has the latest developments. The ICAC held a briefing at 2:30 pm today (15th) to explain the details.
The ICAC pointed out that with new legal evidence, 8 people were newly prosecuted this morning, bringing the total to 10 people, with a total of 15 charges, including bribery and money laundering.
The ICAC pointed out that the general manager of the AA at the time and then the chief senior manager was suspected of accepting 4.3 million bribes to assist Sarawak suppliers and subcontractors to obtain contracts exceeding 200 million yuan.
