Meir Ben Dror collaborates with the singer Mandy Jarofi on a new single, "Kern Ora": "Already when I composed the song, I thought that the melody and the text were intended for a joint performance with Mandy." listen

The Jewish vocal artist, Meir Ben Dror presents a duet in a new single "Kern Ora", the result of a collaboration with the singer Mandy Jarofi.

In his youth, Meir studied at the Or Etzion Yeshiva, "During these years I studied Tractate Baruchot Vashem, on page 17, page 1, there are prayers that the Amorites would say, from virtues: 'May it be desired that you place us in the beam of your light'... I saw something very special in this saying, 'May you place us At the Ora Foundation, a kind of request to be in a good, optimistic and positive place.

I didn't really think about myself when I composed, I was still young, I studied Gemara and the connection to the study gave me the composition."

Ben Dror has so far composed dozens of songs, some of which have been recorded and become works identified with his musical ear.

He is considered a Jewish vocal artist thanks to his vocal albums and singles, where he gave a charming interpretation of well-known Hasidic songs from the past, but also original songs he wrote.

This time, as mentioned, he presents "Kern Ora" which he sang together with Mandy Jeroffi to which he listened in his youth.

"Mandy, he is a singer that I grew up with from the time he was just becoming famous. I really liked and connected with the style of ballads that Mandy offers - a lot of emotion and connection, he has a special approach to singing," explains Ben Dror.

Ben Dror chose the arranger Liv Levitan to sing, following his excellent arrangement of Yossi Green's well-known song "Grace and Truth" which he performed and recorded in the past, Meir who loves the rich orchestrations of the violinist/arranger very much is satisfied with the result and feels he did the right thing...

On the selection for the duet at Keren Ora: "Already when I composed the song, I thought that the melody and the text were meant for a joint performance with Mandy - his voice, his delicacy and his style definitely contribute and add to the song. The experience with him was good, he is a true professional, who also upgraded me, as a singer," says Meir.

"During the recording, he gave tips and presented the song in a unique way as he knows how. It was very interesting to record second voices with him. We worked mutually, and together we came up with spontaneously created ideas that added to the song that were not there before. I owe him a big thank you, I made a dream come true with him."
