The state was condemned Thursday, February 16, for the actions of an official of the Ministry of Culture who poured a diuretic into the coffee of a candidate for a position, and humiliated six colleagues in the same way.
The administrative court of Paris has published the judgment which requires compensation for this ex-candidate up to 12,000 euros for her damage, plus 1,500 euros for legal costs.
The case goes beyond, with humiliations recognized by the administrative justice for six members of the services of the ministry.
These women will also be compensated, according to a statement from the court, which did not specify the amounts.

Many testimonies against him
This official, designated by his initials (DB), was at the time of the job interview in May 2012 deputy director of human resources in the office of Minister Aurélie Filipetti.
He "
offered her, at the start of the interview, a coffee which she drank, then invited her to continue the interview outside, in the Tuileries garden
", details the court.
“
Fast feeling pain and a strong urge to urinate
”, and forced to do so in front of him under a bridge, the candidate asked to go home.
She was eventually hospitalized.
An investigation later showed that the man was accustomed to the fact.
In 2018, he admitted "
having imposed humiliating situations on the women he thus received in interview and whose list was kept by him in a table
", recalls the court.
The official was dismissed in 2019, after numerous testimonies against him.

That year, he was also indicted for "
administration of a harmful substance
", "
sexual assault by a person abusing the authority conferred by his function
", "
invasion of the intimacy of private life by fixing image
”, “
violence by a person entrusted with a public service mission
” and “
violation of the legislation on medicines
”.
The outcome of these criminal proceedings has not been made public.

," commented the minister at the time of this indictment, Franck Riester.

“, had for his part affirmed the dismissed official, questioned by Liberation.
The plaintiff estimated the responsibility of the State “
engaged because of a bad organization of the services of the ministry for the Culture, in the absence of devices protecting the victims and receiving their complaints
”.
