The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said that he is considering filing a complaint against César de Castro, Genaro García Luna's lawyer, after he mentioned his name during the trial that is taking place. in New York against the former Secretary of Public Security of Mexico.

“I am making a consultation because I am seeing if it is possible for me to file a complaint for moral damages against García Luna's lawyer and those who are responsible in the United States.

This Wednesday, during the cross-examination of Jesús "El Rey" Zambada, a witness for the Prosecutor's Office, De Castro asked him if in 2007 he declared that he had delivered millions of dollars for the electoral campaign of López Obrador in 2006 through an intermediary.

Zambada replied that he never said that, that it could not be written because it was not true.

The same Wednesday, de Castro told CNN that he was not going to make any comments, neither on the case nor on anything related to the president of Mexico who described him as a "false" and "slanderer" during his press conference.
