The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, warned that Western countries, led by the United States, intend to continue the confrontation with Russia, with the aim of defeating it without caring about any human losses in Ukraine.
“The United States and its followers plan to continue the military confrontation, and to become parties to the conflict, despite their realization that Ukraine is incurring great human losses, but they do not take this into consideration,” noting that the United States “never thought about the lives of others.” and unleashed wars around the world, including during the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia with depleted uranium munitions.
Patrushev stressed that this policy has lost confidence in the countries of the collective West.
For his part, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko stated that military communication channels between Russia and NATO are being used, as necessary.
It is noteworthy that the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, said earlier that Washington is spending more and more of its energies, in an effort to preserve the unity of the ranks of NATO member states for the sake of aggression against Russia.
