Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud is the president who wants to free Somalia from Islamic jihadists.

In 2012, he led the first government after the overthrow of Siad Barre in 1991. Fallen in 2017, he was re-elected last May and unleashed what he calls an "all-out war" against

 the 

terrorist militia Al Shabab.

He attacks them with soldiers and erodes their popular consensus by relying on economic handouts and religious fatwas - a tough, fierce challenge.

Hassan Sheik, 67, traveled to Rome because he believes in the "

".
