One of the two prominent bills that will come before the Committee of Ministers is that of Bismuth, which will prohibit the publication of a recording of a person without his permission and raises concerns about harm to the press. The second proposal will be promoted by Gafni and it will prohibit the introduction of sour cream into hospitals - despite the High Court's decision

A ministerial committee for legislative affairs will meet on Sunday to discuss private bills of the coalition and the opposition, and to determine which of them will be approved by the Knesset plenum and promoted in the Knesset's legislative process.

Two prominent bills will come up for discussion, and they are the bill by MK Boaz Bismut of the Likud to prohibit the publication of recordings without the recording's approval and a proposal by MK Moshe Gafni of Torah Judaism to prohibit the introduction of chametz to hospitals on Passover, contrary to the High Court's decision

. Bismuth, a former journalist and editor of Israel Hayom, is an amendment to the Privacy Protection Law, which includes a ban on publishing a recording of a person without their consent.

In his proposal, Bismuth requests that under the definition "what is a violation of privacy", the act of publishing a recording of a person without his consent, which includes sensitive information about him, will also be included.

Sensitive information, as defined in the law, is data about a person's personality, the individual's modesty, his state of health, his financial situation, his opinions and beliefs.

"The wording of the law today is problematic, because the technological ability to record conversations should mainly be used to preserve information for personal needs and not to publicize it in a way that could harm a person's privacy," reads the explanation for the bill: this offense, according to the proposal, would constitute a civil wrong and a criminal offense.

The penalty for the criminal offense, "intentional invasion of privacy" even if it was done by way of such publication, is five years in prison.

MK Moshe Gafni's second bill seeks to provide an answer to the High Court ruling according to which hospitals do not have the authority to prevent the introduction of chametz, search for food in bags or warn visitors about the kosherness of the food.

Gafni's bill states that hospitals will be prohibited from introducing or holding leaven on Passover, unless it is a hospital that does not serve the Jewish sector and does not hold a year-round kosher certificate.

The explanatory notes to the bill read: "For thousands of years, since the children of Israel left Egypt, the Jewish people have kept the Passover holiday and its laws very religiously. Even during difficult and dark times in the history of the Jewish people, when the Jews were ordered not to observe mitzvot - such as during the Inquisition and the Holocaust - the people kept The Jew is truly dedicated not to eat leaven on Passover, and there is no reason in the Jewish state not to allow the sick to keep kosher on Passover."

In the past, the bill provoked sharp criticism from political parties, but the religious and ultra-Orthodox factions explained that without the High Court's decision there would have been no need for legislation. and the other factions of the coalition.
