The Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, received more delegations condoling the victims of the earthquake. A delegation from the leadership of the Azerbaijani community in Kazan visited the embassy headquarters today.

The head of the delegation expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims and all Syrians, and wished the injured a speedy recovery, stressing the readiness of the Azerbaijani people to provide assistance to the brotherly Syrian people in their great ordeal.

Ambassador Al-Jaafari thanked the Azerbaijani delegation for its sympathy, stressing that such sympathy and solidarity greatly reduces the pain that the Syrians are currently feeling.

While offering condolences to the victims of the earthquake at the Syrian embassy, ​​Dr. Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, affirmed the strength of the bonds of kinship and brotherhood between the Syrian and Iranian peoples, stressing that the Syrian people are a great people who emerged victorious in recent years from all the conspiracies plotted against them, and presented the most wonderful signs of heroism and patience. Ambassador Al-Jaafari also met with a Russian government delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and discussed with him ways to transfer aid and donations that are in and outside the embassy's warehouses, which weigh approximately 200 tons, to Syria as soon as possible, while the members of the delegation confirmed that the Russian government will allocate the necessary cargo planes to carry out this task.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security in the Council of the Russian Federation, Senator Sergey Muratov, expressed his deep condolences on his behalf and on behalf of the Syrian-Russian Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Syrian government, the People's Assembly and the entire Syrian people for the earthquake victims, explaining that the earthquake-related events and the double standards adopted by the West increased pain and suffering. The Syrian people, as Western countries refuse to provide them with assistance.

Muratov expressed Russia's readiness to continue to help with all it can to remove the effects of the earthquake, noting the development of bilateral cooperation with Syria in various economic, military and cultural fields.

On the other hand, Ambassador Al-Jaafari expressed his thanks to the parliamentarians, the leadership, the government and the Russian people for the great official and popular support for Syria, pointing out that the Syrian embassy in Moscow has turned into a large workshop since the earthquake occurred, while many Russian volunteers contributed to helping collect humanitarian aid to send it to Syria. .

Ambassador Al-Jaafari gave a detailed presentation of the situation in Syria, pointing out that Western sanctions increase the suffering of the Syrian people amid this catastrophe, noting the role of friendly countries that stand by Syria and its people in these circumstances.
