Winter holidays: Smart Bison plans a busy weekend of crossovers on the roads

Very significant traffic difficulties are expected all day in both directions on the axes serving the mountain resorts, more particularly in the Alps

In the direction of departures, traffic will be “

very difficult

” in the eastern half of the country, in Burgundy and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in particular.

To avoid difficulties, it is better to leave the capital before 10 a.m., and avoid the A6 and A43 between Lyon and Chambéry until the beginning of the afternoon.

In the direction of returns, traffic will also be complicated in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region: the A43 will be particularly crowded, and should be avoided between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., advises the state service.
