M6 is celebrating the 20th anniversary of
"Nouvelle Star"
with two prime-time event evenings bringing together the main protagonists of telecrochet launched in 2003. During the first part broadcast last Wednesday, Myriam Abel, Roland Karl (season 3), Cindy Santos, Miss Dominique , Florian Carrié, Bruno Moneroe, Beverly Sonego (season 4), Tigane Drammeh, Pierre Darmon, Gaëtane Abrial and Julie Mazi (season 5) took over together the title Que la musique est
bonne
by Jean-Jacques Goldman.
After the broadcast of a subject devoted to the jurors André Manoukian, Marianne James, Dove Attia and Manu Katché, Karine Le Marchand spoke with the latter about his legendary outspokenness.
“You hear my remarks in these sequences, you have to realize that it was not just for the love of smashing them but because it was really bad
”, explained the drummer.
Artistically,
Manu Katché
also distinguished himself in "Nouvelle Star" for his criticism of the songs attributed to the candidates by the production during the live evenings.
“I could have done it today again
,” he replied to Karine Le Marchand, targeting the collegiate church at the start of the show on the title of Jean-Jacques Goldman.
"I want to say that we could have made another choice because there are other things that are really good and that we forget..."

A few years ago, Manu Katché did not hesitate to say that certain titles attributed to the candidates of "Nouvelle Star" were
"shit"
.
He wasn't as radical with
Que la musique est bonne
.
“My principle starts from the voices we have which are quite exceptional, we are not in a karaoke
, he argued.
Goldman's song has two or three chords, the melody is quite minimalist and we could afford to make them sing some pretty incredible things.
The choice compared to the artists who are present is always a little below.
That's what I also said at the time.
