Königsdorf – This year the people of Königsdorf will have the honor of delivering the Christmas tree for the Munich Christmas market.
As reported, this is linked to the operation of a sales stand on Marienplatz.
This honor is associated with quite a bit of time and liability.
For this reason, the municipality has founded an umbrella organization under the leadership of Mayor Rainer Kopnicky.

22 of the 27 local clubs belong to it, starting with the children's and young people's club and the boys, through the three district fire brigades, the Gartler and Trachtler to the veterans' and reservists' club (see box).
Hans Stöger was unanimously elected chairman of the entire association.
His deputy is Georg Mayer.
Hans Grasberger is the secretary, Josef Wametsberger the treasurer, Johann Köglsperger junior, Monika Köglsperger and Alexander Wurster are the assessors.
New elections are held every three years.
Mayor Kopnicky wants to take care of the entry in the register of associations.
A lot of work awaits the board members and the eleven appointed supporting members.

The stand at the Christmas market should be manned daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from November 27 to December 24.
It is planned that the local clubs will take turns selling mulled wine and snacks.
You should think about what regional specialties you want to offer there.
And anyone who sells food there needs hygiene training.
Kopnicky estimates that five to eight people are needed per day.
"We're good at presenting our community.
For the stall operators something jumps out for the club coffers, and the fun is certainly not neglected," said the head of the town hall.
The Königsdorf music band will play at the opening of the Christmas market, and "I may perhaps say a few words after Mayor Dieter Reiter," hopes Kopnicky.
For the tree, a straight grown one,
healthy fir tree about 25 meters high, which ideally has to be felled anyway, a donor from the community area is still being sought.

The general association Königsdorf eV should not only be active in the coming Advent season.
Whenever the local associations celebrate an anniversary, they can turn to the umbrella association, but of course they don't have to, as the mayor emphasized at the meeting.
The club as a whole is expected to have its next big assignment in 2028.
In that year, the municipality of Königsdorf celebrates its 1250th anniversary.
The whole village will definitely be on their feet.
