If you want to take the bus from the Tölzer Karwendelsiedlung in the direction of Lenggries, you have to take the B13 federal road to the bus stop.
A dangerous spot.
Bad Tölz
– When she was visiting her daughter in Bad Tölz these days, Ingrid Wieser wanted to take the bus from the Karwendelsiedlung in the direction of Lenggries.
"The connection is okay, the way over the B 13 to the other side of the street is difficult and life-threatening," she wrote in an email to the editors.
The way to the bus stop is “difficult and life-threatening”
In fact, the place is not without.
While there is a sidewalk on the side of the residential development, there is only the bus bay on the other side of the street.
Further along the road there are no crossing aids either - the pedestrian tunnel further into town only leads in the direction of Moraltpark - and no sidewalk in the direction of the bus stop.
Accident Commission advises on the subject
Ingrid Wieser contacted the city of Bad Tölz, which in turn contacted the state building authority in Weilheim, which is responsible for the bus stop there.
When asked there, department head Martin Herda replies that the topic was only initiated by the holidaymaker.
"It will be discussed within the next few weeks in the accident commission, which is made up of the police, lower traffic authorities and the state building authority." Basically, the building authority is responsible for the B 13, but the city of Bad Tölz is responsible for any sidewalks.
In order to enable a crossing aid, certain criteria must be met - such as "walkways on both sides and a sufficient frequency of pedestrians crossing".
