The rescue team returned to Hong Kong via Beijing tonight (17th). Chief Secretary for Administration Chen Guoji, Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung, and Director of Fire Services Yang Enjian returned to Hong Kong on the same plane to Beijing. Chief Executive Li Jiachao also attended the welcoming ceremony at the airport.

Some Turks living in Hong Kong went to the airport to welcome the Hong Kong rescue team back to Hong Kong. They said that they were deeply touched by the rescue team despite the danger.

The family members of the rescue team specially came to pick them up from the airport. They put on the masks presented by the Fire Services Department and held the teddy bears presented by the Fire Services Department.

Members of the Hong Kong rescue team returned to Hong Kong on the evening of February 17. Ms. Lu went to the airport to welcome the son of a firefighter who participated in the rescue to Hong Kong.

Ms. Lu's son is one of the members of the ambulance team. She came to pick up the plane with her son's girlfriend tonight. Regarding the rescue of her son, she said frankly that "there must be some worries", but she is safe. Finally, she is very relieved to know that she will return safely. As she prepared to welcome her son, she admitted that she was a little nervous.
