Kirchnerism pressured the Frente de Todos to denounce the "ban" of Cristina Kirchner

2023-02-17T02:59:39.402Z

It was at the debut of the polling station. The meeting, which was headed by the President, was unexpectedly joined by Máximo Kirchner.

With the surprise presence of

Máximo Kirchner

at the last minute, President

Alberto Fernández

headed the Frente de Todos national table this Thursday at the PJ headquarters on Matheu street, a forced meeting that

brought together for the first time

since the 2019 campaign main leaders of

all sectors of the ruling party

and that well into the night was still going on.

A document was polished that underwent several modifications and was agreed upon after hours of debate.

Around midnight this Thursday, some thirty leaders, including Albertismo, Kirchnerismo and Massismo, and representatives of the governors, the Buenos Aires mayors and the trade unionism, were still exposing their positions in the run-up to the electoral campaign that the ruling party

he will seek to order

in full tension between the different tribes.

As this newspaper was able to learn, the document, which had begun to be negotiated since the weekend, would end up including a statement against

"the ban" that, according to the Frente de Todos, Cristina Kirchner is going through

.

And I would elaborate on the need to strengthen the PASO tool, after last year there was an internal discussion between the Casa Rosada and Kirchnerism about that electoral process.

Máximo Kirchner and Wado de Pedro arrive this Thursday at the PJ.

It is the

first time

that the head of state and the head of La Cámpora and the Buenos Aires PJ

meet again

after the resignation of the deputy from the leadership of the FdT block, in the summer of 2022.

According to official sources confided to

Clarín

, Fernández found out on television that the son of the former president would participate in the meeting.

If they knew it in Kirchnerism.

The hardest sector of the coalition did not want to leave the president all the political revenue from the meeting, called by the head of state himself as president of the national PJ.

Since that rudeness of the deputy in February 2022, in full voting on the agreement with the IMF, the

relationship with the President went from bad to worse

, and the deputy systematically dedicated himself to publicly and privately punishing the presidential administration.

They never came back to rebuild

At the table arranged in the shape of a u on the first floor of the party headquarters, besieged for the occasion -there were fences that prevented free movement throughout the day-, sat the President and Santiago Cafiero, Victoria Tolosa Paz, Agustín Rossi

, Juan Manuel Olmos, Fernando "Chino" Navarro and Julio Vitobello, for Albertismo;

Kirchner, Andrés Larroque, Eduardo "Wado" de Pedro, Anabel Fernández Sagasti and Mayra Mendoza for Christianity-Kirchnerism

;

Jorge Capitanich, Gustavo Bordet, Gerardo Zamora, Axel Kicillof and Mariano Arcioni on the side of the governors;

Fernando Espinoza, Mario Secco, Alberto Descalzo, Mariel Fernández and Lucas Ghi for the mayors;

Sergio Massa

, Malena Galmarini, Juan Andreotti, Cecilia Moreau, Rubén Eslaiman and Diego Giuliano for the Frente Renovador sector, and Héctor Daer, Pablo Moyano, Hugo Yasky, Sergio Palazzo and Abel Furlan representing trade unionism.

It is the first time since the 2019 campaign that

all factions of the ruling coalition sit at the same table

.

There was not a similar meeting during the entire management.

Kirchnerism in fact repeatedly claimed the President for opening an area of this style.

At the close of this edition, a joint photo had not yet been disseminated amid the serious tensions that the Frente de Todos is going through since the electoral debacle of 2021, which split the government in the middle, and after the resignation of Cristina Kirchner from any type of application, at the end of last year.

Since the electoral defeat of the mid-term elections, Kirchnerism and Albertism entered into a process of internal dispute that was

in crescendo

.

The meeting this Thursday opens in this sense

a mystery regarding the strategy

 for the elections.

But the presence of the head of La Cámpora and the Buenos Aires PJ, who was not on paper, led, according to sources, to a new scenario, still uncertain.

The walls surrounding the PJ headquarters were plagued in the middle of the afternoon

with posters with the slogan "Cristina 2023"

, signed by the group La Patria es el otro, which is referenced in "El Cuervo" Larroque.

They were hit, according to what he reported, just a couple of hours before the summit.

Also a parade with the legend "If there is a proscription, there is no electoral strategy."

True to his custom,

the Economy Minister was the last to arrive

.

Before, the President had done it with his collaborators, who met from noon in Olivos until they left for the PJ headquarters.

Fernández was the first to speak: he sat next to the Interior Minister and the Economy Minister.

Last Saturday, the head of state and De Pedro had breakfast alone in the presidential villa after the cross-questions between the two, which made the President say that until the end of the term he would seek to manage with the most loyal.

In that conversation, the official confirmed to Fernández that he would be at the meeting this Thursday.

In other words, Kirchnerism would go to the meeting called by the Casa Rosada.

Until then, there were doubts about La Cámpora's reaction to the call.

Now, in the Government, the different hypotheses around the Frente de Todos campaign are beginning to be outlined, an uncertain terrain without a unity candidate.
