After more than a week of pollution alert in the metropolis of Lyon, the Rhône prefecture announced on Friday the lifting of emergency measures in the department.
Thus, the differentiated traffic measures, speed limits and restrictions on agricultural spreading are lifted from Friday at 5 p.m.
Since last Sunday, all Crit'Air 3 and above vehicles have been affected by differentiated traffic measures within the low emission zone (ZFE) of the metropolis of Lyon.
At the same time, the speed had been lowered by 20 km/h on all roads whose speed limit is greater than or equal to 90 km/h.
On axes at 80km/h, it goes to 70km/h.
If these measures have been lifted, the State services recall, however, that it is still forbidden to burn green waste and that the use of “open hearth” fireplaces will be prohibited in the Metropolis of Lyon from April 1. 2023.
