A serious swimming accident occurred at Walchensee on Wednesday.
As reported by the police, a man from Munich (48) drowned.
Walchensee – passers-by discovered a lifeless person in the water at the level of the gallery around noon on Wednesday.
They immediately called the emergency services.
A team from the Walchensee water rescue service could only rescue the dead man from the lake.
The victim was about three meters deep.
The water was four degrees at the time, reports the police headquarters in Oberbayern Süd in Rosenheim.

The Criminal Investigation Service has started investigating the cause of death.
It is assumed that it is an ice swimmer because personal items were found on the shore.
