The Toyota RAV4 was the most stolen car in France in 2022

The Japanese brand's SUV was the favorite vehicle of criminals last year, ahead of the Lexus NX and the Audi A3.

The Toyota RAV4 tops the most stolen cars in France in 2022, according to the annual ranking of

, published in the latest issue of the magazine released this Friday.

It reaches 240 thefts for 10,000 cars insured, according to the specialized title, which is based on data from Argos, a professional insurance body.

The Toyota RAV4 succeeds another model from the Japanese brand, the Prius.

The top 10 is completed by the Toyota C-HR and the Peugeot 3008. The SUV of the French brand being in absolute value the most stolen vehicle in France in 2022 after the Renault Clio 4. In addition, Auto Plus points to a

development : the 9% increase in car thefts compared to 2021, which reached nearly 134,000 last year.
