Today, the second convoy of the (Merciful) campaign, consisting of 29 trucks carrying relief aid donated by the Lebanese people to the earthquake-affected people in Syria, started today.
“The humanitarian and religious duty requires us to extend a helping hand to those affected by the earthquake disaster in Syria,” said Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Sheikh Ali Damoush, in a statement.
Damoush added, "It is our duty to alleviate the suffering and pain of the Syrian people in this catastrophe, and to stand by them in light of this inhuman and unjust siege imposed on them by the US administration and some human rights pretenders."
Damoush explained that the trucks sent include 516 tons of humanitarian, medical and in-kind aid, which are donated by the Lebanese people to the brotherly Syrian people, and that the third convoy of the Merciful Campaign will launch in the coming days.
