The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, affirmed that the silence of Islamic countries regarding the Palestinian issue has harmed these same countries.
Khamenei said during his meeting today with Iranian officials and ambassadors of Islamic countries in Tehran, in the presence of the Syrian ambassador, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub: “If the Islamic countries had stood firmly since day one and resisted, the situation in the region would now be completely different, and we would have been more united and stronger.”
Khamenei added, “Iran is speaking frankly and publicly today with the language of the Palestinian people. We do not flatter anyone, we always say the truth in a loud voice, and we declare our support for Palestine and support it by all possible means, and this is what pushes the enemies to spread Iranophobia.”
Khamenei stated that the solution to all problems lies in unity and solidarity among Islamic peoples and actual cooperation between Islamic countries in the sense of the word and not in formal terms.
On the other hand, Khamenei once again expressed his regret over the catastrophic recent earthquake that occurred in Syria and Turkey, which claimed the lives of a large number of citizens in both countries.
