The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that the death toll from the earthquake that struck the country on February 6 has risen to 39,672.
The Anadolu Agency quoted “AFAD” as saying in a statement: The number of injured as a result of the earthquake reached 108 thousand and 68 people, while 216 thousand and 347 people were evacuated from the areas affected by the earthquake.
A previous toll indicated that the number of earthquake victims reached 38 thousand and 44 people.
