The General Secretariat of the General Conference, which includes more than 135 parties, said in a statement: “As we condemn the positions of the American and Western governments, and those who followed them and their flagrant violation of the Human Rights Charter, the United Nations Charter and international humanitarian law, we declare our absolute solidarity with the Syrian Arab people and we thank all the brothers.” And friends from Arab, Islamic and friendly countries, including parties, associations, unions, and individual or collective initiatives, for their haste in extending a hand of aid and relief to the Syrian people in their new catastrophe, which confirms that national and human feelings are still strong, especially among the masses who have expressed their great sympathy with the Syrian people. .
The statement commended the efforts of the Arab and international campaign to break the siege on Syria, and stressed the necessity of seeking to develop an urgent Arab and humanitarian plan to confront the effects of the earthquake by sending accurate equipment that can pull out the citizens who are still alive from under the rubble, and to secure decent shelter for those whose homes were destroyed, and work to compensate all those affected and establish An Arab international fund dedicated to the reconstruction of the affected areas, funded by brotherly and friendly governments and peoples.
The statement called for holding an emergency meeting at a high level for all Arab and Islamic countries, to be attended by Syria, to break the official Arab blockade on a country founded in the League of Arab States, and to search for ways to help it get it out of its ordeal.
The statement stressed the need to organize a legal workshop in which Arab lawyers and friends would participate to discuss the possibility of prosecuting the US authorities and the governments of NATO countries and those affiliated with them before international courts on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The statement also called for organizing a workshop for Syrian friends from foreign countries to discuss means of escalating campaigns to lift the siege on it.
