Faki explained that some of the goals adopted by the African continent have not been achieved due to the absence of political will in some of its countries, and he called for reforming the Security Council and representing Africa in it.

For his part, the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called in his speech to grant Africa a seat in the UN Security Council.

Ahmed said: “Africa today is at the forefront of resolving the most pressing global issues, including conflict resolution, environmental protection and green energy, and it is a world leader in areas important to humanity, so it is time to recognize its role and have permanent membership in the UN Security Council.” United.”

Ahmed also emphasized that African countries also need to be represented in the Group of Seven, the Group of Twenty, and other international bodies.

In turn, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his support for having a representative of African countries among the permanent members of the UN Security Council as part of its reform.

Guterres said: Africa needs international financing to relieve the burden of debt burdened with it, noting that the Russian-Ukrainian war directly affected the lives of African peoples.

Meanwhile, a video clip showed the moment the delegation of the Israeli occupation entity was expelled after it infiltrated the venue of the summit conference, at the request of Algeria and South Africa.

Follow-up sources said that although the members of the Israeli delegation sneaked in using other people's entry cards, claiming that they had invitations to attend the opening session of the summit, the security forces responsible for the summit discovered them and expelled them and forced them out of the hall.
