The Syrian Embassy in Moscow and the Honorary Consulate in Petersburg received more delegations condoling the earthquake victims, and donations made by Syrian expatriates and Russian citizens.

Syria's ambassador to Russia, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, said in an exclusive statement to SANA's correspondent in Moscow: Russian citizens and Syrian expatriates, as well as foreigners residing in Russia, continue to flock to the embassy, ​​bringing a lot of in-kind aid and cash donations to be given to the earthquake-stricken people in Syria, noting what a number of Russian businessmen from cash donations show their sincere feelings and solidarity with the Syrian people.

In a meeting with the sons and daughters of the Russian elite studying in School No. 1529, Ambassador Al-Jaafari explained aspects of the humanitarian catastrophe that befell the Syrian people, and the damage caused by the earthquake, pointing to the great sympathy that Syria received from brotherly and friendly countries, led by the Russian Federation, the United Arab Emirates and many countries. The other, in contrast to the inhuman discrimination shown by the United States and European countries towards Syria, even in these difficult circumstances.

In addition, a delegation from the Socialist Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Russia visited the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Moscow, bringing with it a large amount of aid intended for those affected by the earthquake.

The head of the delegation, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Vietnam, Dr. Lee Quang An, stressed that the Syrian and Vietnamese peoples are friends with close historical relations, pointing out that when the earthquake occurred in Syria, the Vietnamese government decided to respond immediately to its repercussions by providing possible assistance, and our community in Russia also worked to send aid The Syrian people need it.

Ambassador Al-Jaafari expressed his thanks for the initiative of the Vietnamese embassy and community, explaining that Syria and Vietnam played a major role in the Non-Aligned Movement, and the two countries coordinate their actions and positions in the international arenas.

On the other hand, Syrian expatriates, Russian citizens and foreigners continue to flock to the headquarters of the Syrian Honorary Consulate in Petersburg, and provide more assistance to those affected by the earthquake.

The Russian and foreign donors expressed their solidarity with Syria in its humanitarian ordeal, while the honorary consulate thanked everyone who contributed to alleviating the pain of the Syrians by extending a helping hand and expressing sympathy for them.
