During his time as US President, Trump was famous for targeting his competition in the middle of the night or early in the morning and firing off scathing tweets at anything and everything.
But Twitter was taken from Trump and even though he has found a new home on his own social media platform "Truth Social": there have been no more angry speeches at night for a long time.

The Florida governor is considered the ex-president's toughest challenger in the fight for the Republican nomination for the 2024 US election.

First, he clarified that news of a possible nickname he came up with for DeSantis was false: "I will never call Ron DeSanctimonious 'Meatball' Ron like the fake news says."
The name is "completely inappropriate" for DeSantis, who, according to Trump, has proven his inability to fight the corona crisis - or as Trump calls it: the "China virus".

Trump now denies that.

So far, only two people have made their ambitions for the presidency public: Donald Trump and his former UN ambassador Nikki Haley.
It's highly likely that Ron DeSantis will throw his hat in the ring later this year.
The arch-conservative DeSantis is considered by many to be a real alternative for Trump within the Republican Party - one reason for the former president's numerous attacks on his former protégé.
DeSantis himself has not yet taken Trump's bait and has not commented publicly on any of the attacks.
