The Haifa District Court today (Sunday) sentenced the child psychologist Dr. Idan Kosovsky of Zichron Ya'akov to 55 months in prison, who was convicted of indecent acts against the children he treated. He denied the charges against him, but at the end of hearing the evidence in the trial, judges Avi Levy, Eran Koton and Irit Weinberger convicted The same. Kosovsky came to the hearing with his wife, who continues to support him. The family of one of the injured children was present in the courtroom. Outside, other victims of Kosovsky from a previous serious affair decades ago waited in dismay , which was investigated at the Beer Sheva station, but was shelved due to the statute of limitations. Kosovsky, who until his arrest served as an educational psychologist for educational institutions in Zichron Ya'akov and Haifa and was even a team leader and family therapy coordinator in the psychological service of the Haifa municipality, treated children, among other things, in a private clinic at his home in Zichron Ya'akov.
According to the indictment in which he was convicted, in this context during 2019, he committed indecent acts on two children who were in his care, including touching their private parts.

The Haifa District Attorney's Office is still examining the investigation file against the child psychologist from the Carmel, Dr. Moti Gini, 52 years old, who was suspected of similar offenses over three decades. Although the investigation that was opened a year and a half ago, and has long since ended, and although a hearing has already been held for him, it has not yet been submitted indictment in his case.
