Today, planes from the UAE and Pakistan arrived at the international airports of Damascus and Latakia, carrying relief aid for those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria on the 6th of February.
SANA's correspondent stated that an Emirati plane carrying 68 tons of foodstuffs, tents and blankets arrived at Damascus International Airport.
In a statement to reporters, the adviser to the Pakistani ambassador in Damascus, Asif Akram Noun, said upon the arrival of a Pakistani plane at Damascus International Airport that the shipment carried about 4 tons of quality medicines and foodstuffs. with large payloads.
Noun stressed that the Pakistani government and popular agencies continue to provide aid, as the Pakistani airlines will be operated regularly during its flights as well, to ship relief materials continuously, as is the case today, in addition to land shipments, pointing out that the Pakistani embassy in Damascus is in constant contact with the Syrian government agencies. Especially the Ministry of Health, for medical needs.
Noon indicated that Pakistan continues to provide the necessary assistance to the Syrian and afflicted brothers until it is confirmed that there is no longer a need for that.
And to Latakia International Airport, an Emirati aid plane arrived today carrying relief aid for those affected by the earthquake.
The Director of Lattakia International Airport, Eng. Ziyad Al-Taweel, told SANA reporter that the UAE plane was carrying 25.2 tons of food and relief aid for the affected people, and a second Emirati plane arrived today, carrying 52 tons of relief aid for the earthquake victims.
