At the Garmischer Trachtenball it was all happening.
One highlight chased the next.
Probably the biggest appearance was made by the district chief - with a lady he was familiar with.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen – How good that such a carefree carnival is possible again.
As is well known, the people of Werdenfels rarely lack a wealth of ideas.
This was also clearly visible at the Garmisch traditional costume ball in the Bayernhalle.
After two years, the traditional costume association invited again, and things really got going there.
In addition to some local councillors, delegations from the clubs in Partenkirchen and Grainau, guests of honor such as District Administrator Anton Speer and his wife also attended.
The Unterammergauer even played a not insignificant role.
But first it was the turn of the music band and drummers after the welcome by Trachtler boss Hannes Karg.
The Plattlers showed their skills, and the dignitaries took to the stage for the dance of honor.
A nice first highlight was the appearance of the Maschkera youth, led by Daniel Neuner and Caro Mangler, who emulated the big role models.
Whether Schellen stirrer or Jaklschutzer, even the Maschkeramusi could not be missing.

Things got a bit political when Anton Hornsteiner ("Jonas") appeared, who came to the Bayernhalle in his role as "Luis vom Ultental".
A classic already at the traditional costume ball.
The South Tyrolean by choice is known for the original gifts he sends to selected guests.
There were golden piggy banks for the bosses of the Sparkasse, Grainau's mayor Stephan Märkl was given special glasses because of the high level of sunshine on the ice rink, and FDP local councilor Martin Sielmann was exposed as a spy.
But then Speer-Toni came into focus.
Luis had a prince's crown with him for him.
Only: "A prince also needs a princess." Of course, he had already chosen one:
"Shall we let them in?" The rear gate of the hall opened and none other than the well-known star cow "Resi" from the press and TV was brought in and ennobled with the little crown.
Applause in the hall.
And the district administrator was allowed to do another lap of honor with the handy Murnau-Werdenfelser, who he personally pardoned.

That's certainly not the end of the fun.
The Schuhplattler also had a program ready that evening, Hubert Berger and Flori Scherer reported exclusively on various comedy and events from the Bräustüberl.
So the 200 passers-by on Corpus Christi who sought shelter on the Schneggn-Steg were an issue.
Since then, structural damage has been feared there.
It was also announced that the Partenkirchen fire brigade will soon put a fire-fighting submarine into service.
Mention was also made of the young neff, the "Boandl-Toni" at a local undertaker.
Slogan: "He bury them best".
After a short break, the last highlight: the performance of the drummers on the theme of festival weeks.
The carousel and tent bar were presented very clearly.
There the two fortune tellers "Barbuschka" (Franz Streitel) and "Bodmilla" (Flori Kreis) did their work and looked into the future.
With the beer tents, with all the complaints these days, it should be pretty quiet.
"Bodmilla" even predicted a "silent party" - and the foretaste with headphone-wearing drummers was not long in coming.
Then one after the other entered the stage: Christian Ruf, but also rifle captain Thomas Maurer, who was predicted to make a career leap to defense minister.
The Greens also got their fat, who as vegans - as amusingly shown in a video - graze on the Stepbergalm instead of grazing cattle.
The bullet still predicted a new future mayor, even virtual skiers.
But Peppi Karg is also facing a difficult fate: with a long bushy beard, he is said to be head of the Bayernhalle in 2043.
