The Ministry of Transportation is once again using its powers, and is not allowing Israel Railways to prepare for the tens of thousands of protesters who are expected to arrive in the capital. Only when congestion is created, and there is a fear that the crowding will harm the safety of the trip, will the train be able to add additional lines

The images of the heavy congestion on the trains to Jerusalem, at the Tel Aviv stations and Navon station in the capital from the previous huge demonstration in the capital against the legal revolution are expected to repeat themselves today (Monday).

Minister of Transportation Miri Regev once again uses her powers, and refuses to authorize the train to prepare in advance with an enhanced travel schedule to Jerusalem, in order to accommodate the tens of thousands of additional passengers.

Therefore, the train will operate again as it did last Monday - according to the regular schedule of three trains per hour in each direction: two from Herzliya to Jerusalem via Tel Aviv and Tel Aviv and one from Modi'in. Only when there is congestion, and there is concern that the overcrowding will harm the safety of the trip, will the train be able to add more trips. Last week, the train transported 23,000 more passengers to the capital than usual, and operated five reinforcement trains in each direction.

Meanwhile, many Israelis are expected to be absent from their jobs, as happened last Monday.

These will include broad sectors, groups and sectors including: high-tech, doctors, lawyers, architects and planners, students and lecturers, small businesses, and employees from all sectors who will request time off or be partially absent and join the demonstrations.

The beginning of the "Day of the National Struggle" will be at 08:00, with marches of parents and students in different localities.

Two marches took place in Tel Aviv.

The first will be from Derech Namir through Yehuda Maccabi, Ibn Gvirol to the intersection with Rokah, and the second from the municipality, through Ibn Gabirol to the intersection Namir-Rokah.

The marches will connect in Milan Square and continue together.

Additional protest marches will be held in Haifa, Herzliya and more.

The police are expected to allow their existence, even in the case of traffic jams.

In addition, demonstrations are expected outside the homes of members of the Knesset from the Likud, including Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Science Minister Ofir Akunis and MK Yuli Edelstein.

This, in an attempt to put pressure on them to oppose the measures led by their party.

"It should be made clear to them that the responsibility for the destruction of democracy is on them," explained the organizers of the demonstration.

From there the demonstrators will continue to Jerusalem, in a convoy of cars, organized shuttles and public transportation.

Last week, the protest led to congestion and overcrowding on trains to Jerusalem and at the train station in the capital.

Thousands of protesters crowded the carriages, and some had to wait an hour or more for a free seat.

The Ministry of Transportation headed by Minister Miri Regev will not increase the lines in advance and only after a few hours more trains were added.

The main protest will be held at 14:00 in the streets near the Knesset.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to participate in the demonstration.

After that, at 17:00, the protestors will march through the streets of Jerusalem.
