Harry and Meghan's achievements in relaunch removed from Queens Trust page 

In their Netflix documentary, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry referred to the Commonwealth as "Empire 2.0".

Not without consequences.

London – In their Netflix documentary “Harry and Meghan”, which has been published since December 15, 2022, Prince Harry (38) and his wife Meghan Markle (41) also targeted the institution of the Commonwealth.

The author Afua Hirsh (41), who spoke in it, had uncharmingly described the association as "Empire 2.0".

The tit-for-tat response was a long time coming, but when the Queen's Commonwealth Trust (QCT) website was relaunched in mid-February, for which the Sussexes served as President and Vice-President before turning their backs on the crown two years ago, every trace of the renegade couple redeemed.

The QCT was established to provide young Commonwealth leaders with funding, tools and support to advance their communities in agriculture, education, employability and more.

On Twitter, the organization announced the news unspectacularly from the updated website with the words: "Our redesigned website is now online".

Instead of listing the merits of former Presidents Harry and Meghan under 'Team' or 'Achievements', there is now a full explanation of what the Commonwealth is and how the organization was created in 2018 in recognition of the Queen's 'lifelong service'.

Commonwealth of Nations

The Commonwealth was established in December 1931 and currently includes 54 countries.

According to the Royal Family's website, the purpose of the organization is "to promote international cooperation and trade relations between people around the world".

Wikipedia lists the Commonwealth as a loose association of sovereign states formed primarily by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and its former colonies.

In the third episode of the Netflix series, writer and broadcaster Afua Hirsh, 41, wrote the author of the 2018 book Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging, describing it as "Empire 2.0”.

Prince Harry described them as "anti-racist" and thus put the framework for a connection to the royal family.

Speaking of institutional racism in Britain, Afua notes in the documentary: “Britain calculated that it had to grant these countries independence in a way that protected its commercial and capitalist interests.

So it created this privileged club called the Commonwealth."

Richard Eden (64) replied in "Palace Confidental", his diary-like palace whispers at

"It's almost fortunate that Queen Elizabeth is no longer alive and has to see that".

The Commonwealth is so central to her and brought people together.

It's also a voluntary organization, while being dismissed [in the documentary] as a colonial institution designed to help Britain siphon money and resources from the rest of the world.

"She would have been horrified," concluded the

editor.

Filming for the series wrapped in August 2022 – just weeks before the Queen's death.
