Lattakia Education announces the resumption of working hours in many schools in the province, after ensuring their structural integrity

Lattakia, SANA- The Directorate of Education in Lattakia announced the resumption of school hours in 247 other schools across the country.

The Directorate of Education in Lattakia announced the resumption of school hours in 247 other schools throughout the province, while the engineering committees assigned by the Directorates of Education and Technical Services and the Engineers Association continue to inspect the structural safety of the rest of the schools.

The Director of Education, Omran Abu Khalil, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the schools in which working hours have resumed are distributed as follows: 35 schools in Lattakia, 154 schools in Jableh, and 58 schools in the Qardaha region, where students and administrative and educational cadres can return to, starting from the day Tomorrow is Monday.

Abu Khalil added: All the schools announced by the public safety committees are safe in terms of structural safety, and they are used as shelters for families affected by the earthquake during this period. Al-Din Al-Qassam / H in the city of Jableh, the high school of Martyr Ahmed Zahra and the school of Martyr Ali Ajib / H in the Rumaila neighborhood in the city are excluded from the resumption of school hours at present, whose structural integrity has been confirmed, as a result of the presence of unsafe buildings and rubble in their surroundings, until the risk factors for students are removed and administrative and educational cadres from its surroundings.

Yesterday, the Directorate of Education announced the resumption of school hours in 291 public schools in the regions of Lattakia, Qardaha, Al-Haffa, Jableh, and the city of Lattakia, in addition to 28 private schools that were inspected and their construction safety indicated.
