Lighting the road to As-Suwayda, Damascus, the entrance to Atil, with community efforts

Owners of economic activities and shops, in cooperation with the Atil Municipal Council, launched an initiative to install solar-powered lighting lamps on the main road to As-Suwayda-Damascus, passing through the town of Atil.

The head of Atil Municipal Council, Samir Al-Arbid, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the initiative reflects the efforts of the local community to secure lighting devices with solar energy, to provide a service for the public interest. General Electric provided the crane to install the devices.

Al-Arbeed pointed out the importance of initiatives aimed at employing alternative energy by providing services, pointing out that there will be efforts during the coming period, in coordination with the local community, to operate a number of important facilities in the town with solar energy.
