2023-02-19T19:43:10.525Z

On the menu of the news: Emmanuel Macron gives pride of place to French companies deemed the most promising and San Marina placed in compulsory liquidation.

Here is the schedule for Monday, February 20.

French Tech

The President of the Republic is receiving several hundred French Tech players (companies, investors, institutions, etc.), while funding is slowing down in particular due to the war in Ukraine.

Emmanuel Macron will present the list of new companies that fall under the Next40 and French Tech 120 labels, which bring together the companies deemed the most promising, as well as a roadmap for the sector for the "next five to ten years", specified a adviser to the presidency.

Palmade case

The investigation into Pierre Palmade continues.

The comedian has unleashed a legal and media storm since the car he was driving, after having consumed cocaine and synthetic drugs, collided on February 10 with a vehicle arriving opposite on a departmental road in Seine-et- Marl.

The collision left three seriously injured in the same family: a man, his 6-year-old son and his pregnant sister-in-law, who lost her baby.

The 54-year-old comedian was indicted in particular for homicide and involuntary injuries.

The actor escaped, at least temporarily, from prison, seeing himself assigned to the addiction service of a hospital under an electronic bracelet.

The Melun prosecution, which had requested his placement in pre-trial detention, appealed on this point.

A hearing will be held in the coming days at the Paris Court of Appeal.

Trial

37-year-old pop-star, adored in Morocco and famous throughout the Arab world, Saad Lamjarred is accused of having raped and hit a young woman in a hotel room in 2016 on the sidelines of a concert planned in Paris.

His trial opens Monday in the capital.

San Marina

The San Marina shoe brand is probably living its last hours.

In the absence of admissible takeover offers, the placement in compulsory liquidation of the group, which employs more than 600 employees in 163 stores in France, seems inevitable on Monday, date on which the commercial court of Marseille, city in which the group was born in 1981, must render its decision on Monday.

Weather report

On the menu this Monday: dry and quite sunny weather after the dissipation of the morning fogs.

The afternoon will be mild everywhere.

Before the rain and cold return for the rest of the week.
