A 21-year-old woman claimed that she is Madeleine McCann and the case of the missing girl was once again a trend and topic of conversation on social networks.
It is worth remembering that from the Instagram account @iammadeleinemcann, the woman, who lives in Poland, says that she can verify that she is really the British girl who disappeared on the night of May 3, 2007 while her family was on vacation in Praia da Luz, in Portugal.
In a post, the young woman claimed that she spoke to someone who claimed to be Madeleine's cousin and told her that she might "have the possibility" to speak with Kate and Gerry McCann - the little girl's parents - to arrange a DNA test.

The theories
As soon as the news broke, countless opinions arose on Twitter as to whether or not the woman is Madeleine McCann.
“I truly believe that the girl who says it could be Madeleine McCann if it isn't her is a kidnapped girl.
In other words, that family, how come you don't have the birth certificate? How come you don't want to do a DNA test on what is theoretically your daughter?" Opined, for example, one person.
Another user recalled: “A girl appeared claiming to be Madeleine McCann.
She asked to take a DNA test and the family accepted.
A medium said a while ago that Madeleine was going to appear in 2023-2024 in the German area.
A third, more skeptical, tweeted: "I think the chick claiming to be Madeleine McCann is just a kid out for fame and parents should literally report her."
There were also those who focused on the eyes and mouths of both girls, comparing photos of little Madeleine and the young woman who claims to be her.
“But… They don't look alike at all!
Madeleine has larger and more spaced eyes", they wrote from one account, while in another they maintained: "They even have the same gesture, I don't know.
I hope it's Madeleine McCann…”.
Make sure you have proof
The young woman - whose identity is not clear - indicates that "a few months ago" she began to wonder if she was not Madeleine when she heard "something" her grandmother said, published The Mirror.

It happens that Maddie -as she is known- was born in May 2003, which means that she would now be 19 years old.
Madeleine disappeared in 2007 while on vacation with her parents in Portugal.

Telling her story to the Daily Star, the young woman maintained that: "I have lived a very hard life and suffered a lot of trauma, my abuser was a German pedophile who was a suspect in the Madeleine McCann investigation."
For the German authorities, the main suspect in the alleged kidnapping and murder of Madeleine is the pedophile Christian Brueckner, 46, who is being held in Germany for sexual abuse.
