Occurring on February 10, the accident involving the actor and three other individuals – Yuksel, the driver, his 6-year-old son and his 6-month-pregnant sister-in-law who lost her baby – continues to be talked about.
The program "Seven to eight" returned, this Sunday, February 19, to the case by giving the floor to the family of the victims.
While Pierre Palmade, suffering from a pneumothorax, was placed, under an electronic bracelet, in an addiction service at the Paul Brousse hospital, the three other people are still hospitalized, two of them in serious condition, starting with the six-year-old child.
“Doctors are currently treating him.
They just said there were two spots on the brain.
I was told that we had to wait to say what the after-effects would be
,” says one of Yuksel's brothers after spending a few minutes at his nephew's bedside.
His son goes on to add,
“He has the left side of his head which is really cracked.
Skin that's really torn.
We talked to him a little, he answered, he moved his hand, his feet.
He couldn't make sentences, [...] he had a lot of pain in his jaw."
“I hope he will recover”
As for his 38-year-old father, he is still in an artificial coma.
In order to measure the consequences of the accident, the relatives of the victims communicated a snapshot to the teams of “Seven to eight” which they broadcast during the report.
Of the man, we cannot distinguish his face.
His neck seems immobilized, as well as his right arm in a sling and his left leg.
Multiple bandages cover the rest of his body.
“We tried to wake him up but the doctors told us that his pain had increased further.
So they put him back to sleep and we are still waiting for him to wake up
, ”shares one of the young men to the journalist.
His father completes his remarks by listing the ailments from which his brother suffers.
“When he was operated on after the accident, he had holes in his aorta, his organs were out of place.
He had both legs broken, both arms, the whole body was broken.
It's a miracle that he survived until today.
I hope he will recover, our only dream is that he comes back to us”.
However, a cousin also interviewed in the weekly magazine broadcast on TF1 seems less confident.
The latter doubts that he will one day be able to resume his job as a mason in asbestos removal, claiming that
“when he leaves the hospital, he will be 80% disabled.
[...] It is not Pierre Palmade who is in prison, it
